Interactions and incompatibilities
Ivermectin increases the effects of GABA agonists.
Indications and target species
Horses: This veterinary medicine is indicated for the treatment of infestations
parasites due to:
– Large and small strongyles.
– Dictyocaulus arnfieldi.
– Oxyuris equi.
– Parascaris equorum.
– Trichostrongylus axei,
– Habronema muscae.
– Onchocerca spp.
– Strongyloides westeri.
– Oral and gastric stages of Gasterophilus spp.
Contraindications
• Do not use in species other than the target species, as reactions may occur.

Some horses highly infected with Onchocerca microfilariae have experienced, after
treatment, reactions with edema and pruritus. These reactions are considered to be the result of
the massive destruction of microfilariae. These signs disappear in a few days, being
symptomatic treatment is advisable.

Horses: Administer orally the recommended dose of 0,2 mg of ivermectin per kg of weight.

Special precautions
